Cast Iron Systems More Than Quadruples Sales of Integration Appliances in Q2 2007
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA—June 19, 2007—Cast Iron Systems, the fastest growing integration appliance vendor, secured four times as many new customers in Q2 ‘07 than in the same period last year. Cast Iron’s explosive growth evidences the success of its appliance-based approach to integration and underscores the market demand for a cost-effective integration appliance that is quick and easy to deploy.
Cast Iron’s wide-range of integration appliances, extended to include an SAP-specific family of appliances launched in Q2, are being embraced across all industries ranging from healthcare and insurance to consumer goods. New customers added this quarter include Cypress Equities, JobScience, MedAmerica Billing Services, Inc., Schumacher Group and SonicWALL.
“We evaluated many options in search of the best solution to create a single view of our customers,” said Brian Peddle, vice president of technology and development for JobScience. “We chose Cast Iron’s integration appliance because it will reduce our resource burden significantly while accelerating our project timelines.”
“Compared to custom code, integration appliances can save money and free up valuable resources, accelerating the time to market for integration projects,” said Denis Pombriant, managing principal of Beagle Research. “Application integration vendors, such as Cast Iron Systems, represent a new breed of simple, low-cost solutions for complex integration problems, driving a new level of efficiency for business processes in all sizes of companies.”
As a result of Cast Iron’s tremendous growth, Ram Gupta has stepped up to become the executive chairman of Cast Iron’s board of directors, focusing on growth strategies ranging from organic expansion to M&A activities. Ken Comee, who has driven a 500% growth in revenue since joining Cast Iron as executive vice president of field operations in 2005, will lead all company operations as president and chief executive officer.
“Our success clearly demonstrates that Cast Iron’s no-coding approach is changing the way companies think about application integration,” said Ken Comee, president and chief executive officer of Cast Iron. “Customers are choosing our integration appliances in droves and I look forward to rapidly scaling all areas of the company’s operations to satisfy the unquenchable thirst the market has developed for our solution.”
Cast Iron Systems Integration Appliances enable companies to complete projects in days, instead of months, and easily maintain them using a “configuration, not coding” approach. The company’s integration appliances synchronize information between all major applications and endpoints, including salesforce.com, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Lawson, Sybase, SQL Server, Informix, DB2, flat files (FTP/HTTP), XML, Web services and many more.
